"Yes, Professor Krugman, It Is Too Late." Is it?

A Lie Too Far?

Paul Krugman's article in the New York Times yesterday (Saturday, September 17, 2016), entitled "A Lie Too Far", is about all of the free press that Donald Trump has received, including his scam last Friday, September 16.  He thinks we may be seeing the end of it; some of his readers aren't as optimistic.

F
For those who were vacationing in outer space on Friday, Trump got millions worth of free publicity from the media, both for his new hotel (the one loaded with furnishings and other supplies made in China) and for his campaign, as he had a parade of retired generals, some of repute, some who retired under a cloud, lauding him.

Racist, Misogynists, Xenophobes ARE deplorable.

Some comments and thoughts about this whole "racists are deplorable" controversy:

No, Hillary didn't quite say "racists are deplorable" (though they are); she
actually said:

You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables, right?  The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic -- you name it.

Well, racists, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes, Islamaphobes.. They are deplorable, aren't they?  Now, do half of Trump supporters fall into this category?

Hillary's Health: I've Had it! Turning on the juice...

OK, friends and followers! I've had it! I was ready to go to bed after a busy day and I just had to take ONE more look at Facebook.. Just ONE more look... I should have known better.
I found an absolutely stupid article "TRENDING" about a poll from some physician's group about Hillary's health.

The headline screams:

"Hillary's Health concerns serious, Say MOST Doctors Polled by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons."

Sounds awful, doesn't it? As though some edict has come down from on high that Hillary Clinton is too ill to be the President? Well, as one would expect, this is absolute and total rubbish, but several people who seemed reasonable appeared to buy into the whole stupid poll. So.. I had to do some research; I had to write it all down; I even had to create a cute little graph to put this insanity into perspective. It's more right-wing crap! Here's my summary.. and my cute little graph.. I don't have all of the links yet; I'll insert them in the morning:
You can barely see the sliver of doctors who participated in this right-wing poll.
That's how few there are.

1. First of all, this group is a CONSERVATIVE GROUP of physicians with a POLITICAL AGENDA (even if they claim they don't have a political agenda.)

"The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons is a politically conservative non-profit association founded in 1943 to "fight socialized medicine and to fight the government takeover of medicine." So if you (or a loved one) are on Medicare, at least some of these doctors think you should just die in the street."

2. It's an online INTERNET poll. Those kinds of polls are totally useless.

3. There are over 850,000 doctors in this country. There are only about 5,000 members of this conservative group... and only a tiny fraction of those 5,000 (250) actually participated in this poll... and we really don't know for sure how they affirmed that only doctors who are members participated in this poll. So, out of 850,000, doctors in this country, less than one out of 3,000 participated in this shitty poll. That's about 0.029%... Less than a tenth of a percent.  (See the graph above.)

4. These are NOT America's top surgeons. That's ridiculous.

5. Ethical doctors KNOW they are not supposed to diagnose anybody without actually examining them. These 250 CONSERVATIVE doctors are NOT ethical.

6. Anybody out there who thinks that Trump would make a good President... and anybody that thinks his mental or physical health is any better than that of Clinton.... is seriously brainwashed AND needs to go back and take high school American history or civics.

Trump Likes Leaders with "Strong Control of a Country"

(Updated May 2, 2017:  I wrote the following back in September 2016, before Trump was elected.  We should not be surprised that Trump seems to idolize fascists and authoritarian leaders such as the President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, nor that he supports right wing candidates such as Marine LePen in France.  He was very clear in the runup to the election that he admires leaders with "strong control".  He has no conception of the definition of "leadership".)

A leader exerts "strong control"? Is this really what we want here in the United States of America?

I'm disgusted with Trump; disgusted with the people supporting him. This man is a serious threat to us, to all of us, and I don't want a President who believes that leadership means "strong control".

Time to DUMP TRUMP!

From the NBC/MSNBC military town hall on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, this quote from the ABC website:

"The man (Putin) has very strong control over a country," (Trump) said during the town hall was hosted by MSNBC/NBC on the Intrepid aircraft carrier. "Now It's a very different system and I don't happen to like the system, but certainly in that system, he's been a leader. Far more than our president has been a leader."

Someone please tell me why this man has poll numbers greater than 20%?

What's wrong with the people of this country?
